Payments (TenaBill)

The Payments page wires your merchant account to Stripe Connect so that invoice payments flow directly into your Stripe account. It also controls the card statement descriptor your customers see on their bank statement.

Console: TenaBill merchant console → Payments (/payments)

Stripe Connect onboarding

If Stripe Connect is not yet configured, click Connect with Stripe to begin the Stripe Express onboarding flow. You will be redirected to Stripe to complete identity verification and bank account setup.

After onboarding, return to this page — TenaBill records your Connect account ID and payments from hosted checkout sessions will settle into your Stripe account.

Card statement descriptor

The Statement descriptor field controls the short text that appears on your customers' credit/debit card statements next to the charge amount.

  • Maximum 22 characters.
  • Avoid special characters; Stripe may reject or truncate them.
  • Best practice: use your merchant or product name so customers recognize the charge.

Save changes with Save descriptor.

Stripe Connect dashboard

Click Open Stripe dashboard to launch your Stripe Express dashboard in a new tab. Use it to view payouts, disputes, and detailed transaction history.

Refresh Connect status

If your Connect status appears stale (e.g. after completing onboarding in Stripe), click Refresh to re-sync the account state from Stripe.

Requirements

Stripe Connect must be active before hosted checkout sessions can collect payment. Invoices can be created and sent before Connect is configured, but customers will see an error when attempting to pay.

  • Invoices — generate checkout sessions for payment collection
  • Webhooks — receive invoice.paid events after Stripe settles
  • Billing & plan — your TenaBill merchant subscription
